MKMMA Week 10 – Do You Hear the Sounds of Silence?

“And the sign flashed out its warning,

In the words that it was forming

And the signs said,

“The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls

And tenement halls

And whisper’d in the sounds of silence”

I don’t know the thought process Paul Simon had when he wrote those words. They are so powerful and profound. My interpretation is the signs that we individually see are whispered in the sounds of silence. If we sit still, in silence, and listen to our inner being, that is where we will find our light, our gift, our Definite Major Purpose in life. It is not easy, but it is within everyone’s grasp. It takes patience, diligence, and practice.

In the Master Key Experience, we learn about the left brain and right brain. They are connected by the Corpus Callosum, a thick white band of nerves that joins the two hemispheres to one another. If you learn to use these two sides of the brain together with enthusiasm, it will expedite your ability to achieve the greatness that lies within you.

“Hello darkness, my old friend,

I’ve come to talk with you again,

Because a vision softly creeping,

Left its seeds while I was sleeping,

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence”

Magnificent is the only word I can use to describe these lyrics. Have you ever had a conversation with yourself in the dark while meditating, or perhaps when you went to bed at night? And in the morning there was that same thought, that same vision planted in your brain from the night before? It may have come to you in the silence of the dark night, but there it is waiting for you to act on it. It’s only a seed that you planted. Now you must nurture, grow and cultivate your vision.

Be who you were meant to be. Find your greatness. Capture it. Cultivate it. It is there, within you, in the Sounds of Silence. Be still and listen to the melodic, ethereal rendition of The Sounds of Silence by Disturbed. It alone is a masterpiece. Thank you for listening. Love Noelle Suzanne

I love many things, but first and foremost my family. I have three beautiful sons, now young men, a devoted husband, and a wonderful family. I love nature, dance, singing, writing, playing guitar, and connecting with people. I feel very lucky and blessed. I believe in the light of the universe and the good of mankind. Life is good. I am thankful.
